Okay, so I tried to add as many pretty details into this layout since the photo is far from pretty!

Here's a little background on this photo/layout. My best friend, Marie (mfergie) gets sick on or before almost every vacation. She gets sick at the beach every year, she was sick in Vegas and I just knew she was going to be sick when we went to San Francisco. Well she was perfectly fine until 5 o'clock a.m. the morning we left. Our plane left at 7 a.m.! Apparently it's just not in the cards that she goes on a vacation and doesn't have a cold. Not to mention she is the world's biggest whiner. This photo was taken to document what I had to look at from across the room every morning in SF. Not so pretty! The picture kills me and she may kill me when she sees that I scrapped it! LOL!

DEF Challenge, You Crack Me Up Challenge

Description:

Background paper is Bazzill (sorry, don't remember the name...I think it's called putty). The patterned papers are KaiserCraft/Tudor Collection - Red floral is called Piccadilly and the blue floral is called Hampton. The red cardstock is ColorMates. The journaling sheet was matted on The Paper Company blue opaque vellum. The chipboard flowers were painted with blue and red acrylic paint. The are stitched flourishes (hand drawn). I used blue ink and burnt sienna ink. There are stamps as well on either side of the picture with loose rhinestones.

D: Dear Diary (on journaling)
E: Equal number of embellishements (4 flowers, 16 rhinestones, 2 stamps, 2 ink colors, 4 cardstocks, 4 flourishes with 2 swirls on each, 2 embroidery floss colors)
F: Flourishes - 4 stitched

Journaling reads: Dear diary, It's vacation time again and I'm super excited. We made it all the way to the morning we left for San Francisco and Marie is not sick. Yea! Eric takes me to Marie's house and the first thing she says when she opens the door..."I think I'm getting sick." Two days into the trip, this is what she looked like. Unreal!
