This is a photo of my parents by in 1947, when they were expecting their first child. Mama says that she knows it was early in the year and that the weather was unseasonably warm that year. The journaling reads:
Ruth and E.P. Perdue ~ Shown here at the home of Lucille and Carl McQuaig in the Lakewood District of Atlanta, Georgia in the early part of 1947. Their first little bundle of joy, Edward Michael, would arrive on May 21st. She says she really liked this dress. It didn't fit like a tent and was one of two dresses that E.P. bought for her to wear while she was expecting my big brother.
This was my first time to try my hand a paper quilling - I kept it really simple - just a little butterfly - but it was fun! I also used my new border punch/embosser for the first time - You can't see the embossing too well on here, but it really is pretty. Thanks for looking!
