In Rememberance

Uncle Mike was the only person in our family to have died in war. He died in the battle of St. Lo on his 21st birthday. Never having any children, and his siblings now gone, I felt it was important for someone to remember his life and service. I found a letter that his girlfriend had written to the family, the patch from his uniform, and pictures. I also researched where his brigade was for those first days and did a timeline in the white stripes of the flag. Unfortunately, my son took one of the pictures for show and tell and it never ended up back on the right hand side where it belonged! :)
