This is my lo for the July Ugly Paper Challenge. My two (ugly) papers are the diamond patterned yellow & white and the yellowy grid pp behind the pics.

I was a bit stumped with how to use these 2 papers on the same lo. I didn't think either of them wer terribly ugly and I felt that I could easily use either of them, but when I put them together, they just seemed to clash and not want to go together. However, when I received my new CK mag (August 2009) in he mail and I saw Davinie Fiero's "Beach Fun" lo on page 107, I thought her idea of the wavy paper with the circles at the top was perfect...especially if I could find the pics of the boys on the roller coaster. Of course, those pics were no where to be found, but since it made me think of an amusement park ride, I did the lo with pics of the boys on other amusuement park rides.

To tone down the grid paper a little bit, I used a carnival ride stamp and black ink to stamp onto the paper, then I used a golden tan ink and a large flower stamp (reminded me of a ferris wheel LOL) and stamped those on the paper (although, I ended up covering most of the stamping in the end). I adhered the pics directly to the grid paper and drew a freehand "frame" around each. I stamped some journaling info directly onto the grid paper and added some metal words.

I used the yellow diamond pp for the circles and for the strip across the bottom.
