Awwww really brings back fun memories of my Gramma...she was a fabulous seamstress and made an apron for each holiday. I remember when she made me my very first apron when I was a little girl...was for Christmas and had all sorts of cute embelishments on the pockets. And then I got to help her bake and help with Christmas dinner and all while wearing it. I'll never forget that....thanks for such a sweet reminder!
Don't know how I missed these two pages!! Love them both and I remember aprons! I actually owned some when I was first married! Beautiful job, Betty. as always!
Simply awesome....great double page LO. Love the photo with the aprons blurred in the backgound. Really great LO ~ wonderful look with a retro feel (if that makes sense). In my favs!!
Your work amazes me and all the detail..love the coffee cups and the way you hung the aprons on the line...I collect old aprons too...this is a perfect way to put a story to them!
wonderful 2 page lo, i remember my grammy's apron she always had a apron tied around her and always doing something snapping green beans or something give anything if i had those pics my grammy died when i was about 15 thanks for the walk down memory lane love this.
WOW!! I absolutely LOVE this 2 pager!! All the great pics and the pp is PERFECT! The journaling brought tears to my eyes with memories of visiting my own grandmother and her aprons! Thanks for bringing back those memories with your wonderful LO!
I love that you used the apron lace border punch! So appropriate. :-) I got such a big kick out of these photos, the way they illustrate the many uses for an apron: dusting and carrying stuff. These CC are perfect for this layout. An A+ page.
Soo soo cute! Those pp's look like they were made for the pics! Love your design and that you used so many photos without it looking crowded! All the embellies are so cute! Awesome work!
I got the idea for this layout from an e-mail that my cousin sent me. I re-worded it a little bit and used it here for my journaling (on pg 1). Then, Sarah and I had a photo shoot with some of our aprons. The embroidered (with the dogs) and the lavender print apron were given to me by my mother. I know the lavender one belonged to my grandmother - and I think my mother made the embroidered one. The green apron with the huge pockets is one that I made. The other three are some that Sarah got at an antique sale.
The pps and embellies are all Cosmo Cricket except for the background cs. Flowers and embellies are hand cut. Border punch is apron lace by Fiskars. Added some doodling and inking to everything. TFL!
