I am sitting her crying for Erica and Ed, how very sad and how very sweet of you to do this for her. I feel especially sad since I had to put my Bonnie Girl down in June. She too got old and sick, and I promised her I would never let her suffer, and I held to my promise. "Bless all the dogs that give comfort to us selfish humans, the world would be an empty place without them." Thank you for doing this too. It's beautiful.
I suppose most of us have experienced that same smile and Erika has my sympathy. This is such a beautiful remembrance for her Karin. Perfectly matched colors and a fabulous design!
So precious and sweet! What a lovely tribute to Ed and a wonderful remembrance for Erika! This has to be what scrapping is all about! And then on top of all that, what a marvelous job you did in scrapping it. The design and the combination of patterns and colors are simply beautiful. Into my faves!
Made me give Chester boy an extra hug and kiss tonight. I can picture Lucky and Ed running and playing and chatting about how great their people...their Mom's were and how much they each miss you and Erika. You have an amazing heart, my friend...what a lovely gift from your soul, to Erika and Ed. Thank you, M

Two very sad (and beautiful) layouts in one day...your journaling is so deep and heartfelt. Just remarkable; what a preciousl layout you've created and what a wonderful friend you are. I'm certain Erika is so touched and happy with this lovely tribute. Simply remarkable!
Oh Karen, what a sweet thing to do for her. You are such an amazing person and if I was a dog I would want to be yours!!! This is a beautiful lo and it is so obvious that it is so lovingly done too!! Poor Ed..bless his little heart, such a beautiful doggy too!
Amazing my friend!! I love the quote--its so perfect. Your kind words are always the most perfect thing to say!! This LO, the colors and design are so wonderful! I am forever grateful to you for your kindness and friendship!! (The little picture perfectly portrays his sad little expressions that would make me smile--he pretty much looked like that all the time, lol!!! So sweet!!)
This is the first LO that I created for my dear friend Erika (you know her here at SB.com as Elombardo19) about her precious boy Ed. These are some of the last photos taken of Ed before Erika took him to the vet for the final time. The smile on her face belies the deep pain and hurt she was already feeling inside. I'm sure she wanted to have one more photo of them together. I did the exact same thing on my dog Lucky's final day.
Erika, thank you for letting me scrap these photos for you. My heart ached with you as I remembered all the things you've shared with me about that day and, most importantly, about Ed's whole life. That is what I celebrate in this page: a friendship! Though this was a tragic day, the journey, the friendship, the memories are all something to celebrate and treasure. You were and are a wonderful dog mom and I know that Ed's life with you meant as much to him as it did to you. Here's to Ed: the amazing, sweet, gentle, and perfect dog. He will never be forgotten. Big hugs to you, Karen
p.s. I left room for you to journal anything you'd like to say.
