Ah yes but you can still get the Fry's mint cream, and just very very occasionally, that fruity one which changes colours as you work your way down!! I have those memories too! Great lo and wonderful photo of your mum enjoying the fun!
This has to be the best layout EVER with Boxer papers! You have made them fit together in such a beautiful way, and they showcase your pictures instead of overwhelming them! I have the entire line and have been afraid to use them because they scare me!! Now I have this beautiful layout to use as inspiration. Also, your journaling of this precious day and memories is truly what makes this a keepsake. I am so impressed!
Oh, Ann, how I enjoyed reading your wonderful journaling down memory lane!!! Love the idea that you've included the photo of the chocolate bar; so clever of you!! Great photos and I love the perfectly matched embellies! Simply beautiful!!!
This is a scraplift but am sorry that I cannot find the person who made the original which I've adapted somewhat, and to whom I'd like to give credit. The journaling reads: "This photo was taken in the summer of 1984 when I took my mother on a steam train ride on the Severn Valley Railway in Worcestershire. One of the several stations where we got off was Arley where we enjoyed the atmosphere and memorabilia of the long-gone days of steam. Mum is standing beside an advertisement that brought back so many memories for both of us. I was a child during WW2 when food was strictly rationed so the arrival of chocolate in the local shop was a rare event, and when it did "Fry's Five Boys Chocolate", with its pictures of five boys, was the very best. Sadly production stopped in the early 1970's." TFL
