this makes me fall in love with KS too - gorgeous photos, great colors of cs. I love how you did the little tags on the fiber down the side and absolutely love, love that big heart around your dad!
This is a lo that I did for a challenge to create a lo about something you love. I selected some of my favorite pics from our trip to KS this past summer and did a lo about things I love about KS.
I freehand cut the heart and overlapped the two sides of th heart to create a frame around my dad. I stitched the overlapping at the top and bottom. The yellow lettering was cut with the Cricut and I tied a ribbon around a couple of the letters. The "LOVE" was cut with a Sizzlit and I cut it from a piece of cs that was similar to the background.....I added the "love", because that spot just seemed to need something when the page was done, but anything in another color really cluttered up the page, so I went for adding texture. I used my Sizzix to cut out the yellow tags and inked the edges and stamped the journaling on them. I ran a piece of ribbon along the edge of the 3 pics and adhered them with tape and clipped the bread tags onto the ribbon (although one of them came loose when I put it down to photograph the lo and I didn't catch that! ). I added the 4th tag to the heart and adhered it with a brad through the metal butterfly and through the tag, then added a ribbon to balance out the ribbons on the letters.
