This is my lo for the December Scraplift the Person Before You Challenge. I was lucky enough to be able to scraplift Elly and I selected her "me at 15" lo to lift. You can find her lo here:

I tried to stay very true to her original lo because I really liked what she did.

I selected my background pp, because of the circles and colors...I thought the colors worked well for the little boy pic I wanted to use and the circles tied in with the ball pit. I then selected my 2 pieces of pp and cut them to size and then I distressed the edges...to go with my "little boy" lo. I adhered those to the background. I then backed my pic with 2 layeres of cs, because the distressing on the pp's kept the pic from laying flat. I distressed the edges of the pic and adhered it to the page.

In place of the ribbon that Elly used to frame her pic, I chose to use colored wire...once again I thought it would be a fun addtion on my boy page. I pulled the colors from the bottom piece of pp and used a different color of wire on each side. I used brightly colored brads to hold the wire in place. I twirled the ends of the wires for a fun effect and to work with the twirls on the pp.

I wanted my flower to be a fun, boyish flower (LOL), so I cut 4 circles from brightly colored cs and I used decorative scissors around the edges of each circle to sort of resemble a gear/sprocket. I then edged the circles with some white ink. I selected the button for the center of the flower, then I decided that I liked the faux stitching on it, so I used a black pen and added similar stitching to each circle. I layered the circles and button to create my flower. I decided to use rick rack for my stem, so I inked some white rick rack and used a marker to add dots along the edges and I adhered it to my page and added my flower. I wanted to use the paper clip as my leaf, but it didn't show up very well, so I freehand cut a leaf and added some pen stitching and then tucked it under the stem and adhered the paper clip.

I used metal rimmed tags for my journaling spots...following along with Elly's lo. I used sticker alphas on the metal rimmed vellum tags and adhered the tags with red mini brads. I used chalk to color each of the alphas to tie in with the brightly colored pp.

To mimic Elly's flourish, I made one out of silver wire. I adhered it to the page. However, I couldn't find the right sized beads and didn't think stickles would look right, so I used some brightly colored aquarium gravel...yes, I have aquarium gravel in my scrapping stash. LOL

I didn't think my lo looked quite "finished", so I added some more penned stitching to the pp's nd to the background.

I LOVE my page and would like to thank Elly so much for joining the challenge and allowing me to scraplift her!! I hope she thinks I did justice to her original lo!

I'm also using this as my metal lo for the bingo challenge. The metal on this page is:

The wire frame, the brads (both regular size and mini), the metal rimmed vellum tags, the paperclip (leaf), and the flourish.
