This is so pretty! Your journaling is lovely, you are a great writer! I love the letters "beach" on the page and the use of the journaling template. I have wanted to get one of those and now I see how good it can look. Great LO!
Crying, crying, crying. This is absolutely stunning. Your journaling can be summed up in one word; poetry. I cry every time I see what you've written here. The fact that it's about my child makes me even more awe-inspring. I wish I had your gift with words, not to mention your wondrous scrapbooking ability. Thank you for sharing your gift with us, but especially me and the nieces who love you as much as I do!
This is my niece Allie. My sister Cindy and her girls (Allie and Katie) visit NC every summer. I think this was two years ago. I tried a few things with this LO I did more than a year ago, including the vellum overlay. I used a journaling template to create the wavy lines for journaling. Allie's trademark "bee" is at the bottom. I didn't come out quite like I wanted it to but I'm still happy with it. I really love this crazy, wonderful girl!
Journaling reads: While I know Allie played and swam in the ocean that day, she spent more time on the beach searching for shells or creatures hiding beneath the sand. It's funny that with all the action of the waves and screaming children, Allie moved to where al the work was done. The ocean beating against the shore since the beginning of the ocean itself, had done all the work Allie was now discovering. The water had given up small secrets, and she was about to find out, in faint languages what the ocean had to say. And truly, in every honest good bit of me left, I believe only my sweet niece can hear the waters whispers....
