Wow Michelle, this so beautiful. I love everything about it - you worked your magic on this one. Everything works together so well & complements the great photo.
This has got to be one of the most gorgeous scrapbook pages I have ever seen! I love the colors and the layering of the paper and shapes! Love your punch work and your handmade flowers with the paper swirls! What a fantastic and creative LO!!! Gorgeous and most definitely a fave!!!
Into my faves, Michelle, into my FAVES!!!! Such an adorable photo! That flower technique I was waiting with bated breath to see is so lovely! Thanks for sharing the info and link. Will definitely check that out. Love the color scheme...and the backgrounds. That poem is perfect, especially how you put words on strips like that! You get the "Auntie of the Year" award! Awesome lo!
LO of my youngest nephews. I had read this poem somewhere...cannot remember for the world of me where to...and thought it was so sweet and perfect for this photo. The flowers are hand made from pages of old encyclopedia pages, ink and bling . they're from an awesome tutorial that you can find here http://dawnmcvey.typepad.com check it out under a posting for Jan 7/2010 You can also try doing a search for her on Youtube. She uses buttons in her centers but I liked the bling better for these 2 LOs. I also like the little twirls of paper ribbon that I tucked in amongst the flowers...I made them from the strips I trimmed off my paper and twisted them around a shishkabob stick. Journaling reads: " My liitle eyes are watching all you say and do, so be careful what you teach me for I learn from watching you. You are my big brother and that's a big responsibility. But I need you oh so much to teach me as I grow... My little ears are listening to everything you say, and I'm asking you big brother...won't you please show me the way? " TFL!
