Oh I keep thinking about getting an electronic cutter, but can't decide. It sounds like you really like the Cricut... I hear so much about it. But, I'm also eyeing the silhouette. It isn't natively compatible with my mac though.... Great LO!
SHCG: This lo is so very cool! I love the red bg, the way you placed the photos and the stickles on them, the blue title with the dots and the hearts around it, the tree is awesome! I have just one suggestion-move the journaling block next to the photos and the tree on the other side of the journaling block. I might try to smoosh the title a bit down and closer to the photos too. It's perfect the way it is, but just some ideas thrown your way. I love the book dh made for you-that is so very, very cool!
SHCG: This is such a wonderful story. What a wonderful valentine gift to receive. Did he bust into your scrapbook supplies to make it? :) I would give my husband all of my scrapbook supplies I owned if he was willing me make me a present! Very, very awesome. I agree with Brenda on this one to scrunch up your writing a little more. Oh, I also have to say that I love that tree!!!!
SHCG: I love that you chose to use a more recent NYE photo under the NYEngagement photo. I love even more that you threw in a pic of the album he made. I love even most that he made you one. I really like the blue you chose against the red, and I used the same Rock Star pp on a valentine for the schrub. Your tree is really cute as are the hearts in the title. Happy to see you get some mileage outta the Cricut. I'd like to see the title thickened up, or at least a shadow added behind BEST. As is I feel like spreading out the letters is more of an attempt to fill up the negative space. If that's the case, I suggest going for it, and rearranging the letters closer together and off to the side so that you actually expose more of the space. Great ideas to meet the challenge.
SHCG: Bling, Bling Baby! Love all the sparkles on the page, in your eyes, in your hubby's eyes, around the adorable photos of the two of you and scattered around the page. The story is heartwarming and it is a testament to just how special you are to your hubby with the awesome paperbag scrpbook he made for you. I like the colors you used for the title and the plant(?) near your journal block. It drew my eye down the photos and to your journal block. The little hears near "the" and "best" are a great way to accent how you see Greg.
This is my response to Gelidy Gelato/Lisa's Valentine challenge for Scrap Happenzz Critique Group. My DH proposed to me on Valentines '03 & this year, he made me a little paper bag scrapbook! So I wanted to scrap those (& I included a more recent pic of us too, from New Yr's).
The scan as usual crops of the side margins. The pics & journaling are inked in silver, I went over that w/ dotted silver Stickles for more oomph. Dotted the title too & sprinkled assorted bling throughout. I'm loving my Cricut these days! The Rock Star Stack was a giftie from whenscraphappnezz - thanks Tiff.
