This is for Martica's door hanger and keepsake box swap in the fairies group. I used throwkat's idea of utilizing an image of a fairy...goodness I hope I didn't use the same image LOL! Anyway...
I bought a simple wooden plaque from Meijer and painted the edges with Tim Holtz Picket Fence Crackle Paint. I wanted to cover the front with paper but it was really hard to get an exact cut on the shape. So I ended up just spraying it with Vintage Pink Glimmer Mist. Next I overlayed a photo I found through Google (it's a garden fairy) over a piece of paper from DCWV Once Upon A Time stack. I added pearl trim and brown lace from Debbie (DKravec). That's a Prima bling swirl with a Prima flower over it. I used the leaves from a Making Memories vintage findings pack to add more interest to the second Prima flower on the bottom. Then I drilled two holes and threaded thick grosgrain ribbon through it so it can hang on a door. And that's how I made it!
