That's a great idea to scrap the professional photos. I so need to do that and oh I have some cheesy ones! Yours are really cute. I love what you did here and how you recalled the special song her Dad sang to her as a young child. Nicely done.
This is lovely! I also wish I could go back and re-do pages. My skills have improved too. But I look at it this way: what I did then says something about me at that time. Think about what our kids do in school Isn't it wonderful to have a record of what they did at age 5? 10? 16? I'm sure that when my children look back on their books years from now, they won't be thinking, "Ooo. look what Mom did her!" They's just be thrilled to have that record of their lives and the record of how I documented it. I'm sure your children will feel that way too.
Awwwwwww......... So Sweet and the words are touching.
Love the color paper choice and the butterflies and the heart shaped fasteners on the journaling. :D
What a pretty page! I really like how you did the "shredding?" under the title!!! Maybe I should call it fringe? Anyway, whatever it is, it looks really cool! Sweet story too : )
Here is layout of my daughter's baby album that I am working on. This album consists of the many professional photos that we had made of her before she started school. I did an album of grade school stuff and photos; however, I wish I could go back and redo it because my scrapbooking has come a long ways, baby! Oh well….it is what it is! These photos were taken on July 14, 1990. I used the title from Bob Carlisle's song, Butterfly Kisses and included some of the lyrics. That was one of her Dad's favorites songs when she was little. I wanted her to use this song in her wedding, but I got out voted!
Here are the lyrics I used: There's two things I know for sure: She was sent here from heaven and she's daddy's little girl. As I drop to my knees by her bed at night She talks to Jesus and I close my eyes and I thank god for all the joy in my life Oh, but most of all For butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer; sticking little white flowers all up in her hair; "Walk beside the pony, Daddy, it's my first ride." "I know the cake looks funny, Daddy, but I sure tried." In all that I've done wrong I know I must have done something right to deserve a hug every morning and butterfly kisses at night. Products used: Graffiti Font by Sizzix, Circle punch, Butterfly die form Sizzix, Pink brads, Yellow shredded paper, blue cardstock, background paper is Rainbow Hearts by Paper pizzazz. I outlined the butterflies and the circle with some sparkling powders using my heat gun. They don't show up very well in my photos. This is for the April Color Challenge over at sb.com. The challenge was to use pastels. TFL!
