I'm probably bad for admitting that I giggle anytime that CJ cries because his face gets all scrunched up and red and he is so cute I can't help it! I think this photo best exhibits all of the wrinkles his face makes, how the dimples come out, and how red he was (this was only a few seconds into it, mind you, the boy's got lungs so you can't stand more than that). He still makes a face very similar to this today and it's still something that makes me giggle. hehe

As for technique, the lace is misted and hand sewn onto the page. Off-white lace is below it. I cut the SIIP up to use in multiple places on the page, and then stitched with a color similar to the paper to add texture without making it too distracting. The lollipop flowers are 5 circles of different sizes with the edges frayed and crumpled up and then stitched together with a cross-stitch.

All in all, I think this is way outside of my normal style, but I am really pleased with it. :)
