For 2009, I'm doing the Album in a Year project from Amanda Probst's column in the 2008 issues of CK Magazine. For June, I decided to do the project that she did for August, and likewise, I'll be doing the June project with my August pictures -- it just worked out better for me that way with the pictures I took those months. So, this is my June version of her August LO. You can see Amanda's version for '07 on her blog at http://amandaprobst.squarespace.com/. You can see my other finished LO's for this project in my gallery in my 2009 Album and Month LO's album: '09 Month by Month; January - I Predict; February - 10 Things I LOVE this Month; March - As Luck would have it; April - By the Numbers; May - Faces of May.

I downloaded the 'we were here' title from Amanda as a pdf file, printed it on bright white cardstock, and popped it up with foam tape. The journaling is done in Broadway BT and Bookman Old Style fonts and printed on yellow cs. It says:
Wisconsin
the end of a fishing weekend
Chicago
for a beautiful evening in the city
Fulton Lounge
meeting up with dear friends
Scott's house
more reminiscing
Kevin's house
saying goodbye for now
Round Lake High School
for 3 long days of rehearsals and 2 nights of recitals
Buffalo Grove, Lake Villa, Libertyville, & Lake Forest
doctor, dentist, vet, & groomer appointments and errands galore
Indiana
relaxing at the salon
Land O'Lakes
finally getting Up North for the rest of the summer

I stamped circular journaling spots on the red cs in brown ink, punched them out, used letter stickers for the 'and here's, diecut the man on my Cricut, and used foam tape to pop them up. The word strip is a black & clear border sticker that I stuck to blue cs and cut out before adding to the LO. I doodled the black lines for the border, and colored between them with a green stardust pen. The upper left map is from a leftover piece of Wisconsin map pp, and the map of nw Indiana in the bottom row is from Google maps printed on white cs.

Photos: the Welcome to Wisconsin sign is in Land O'Lakes just south of the border with the Michigan UP; view of Chicago while driving in on the Kennedy; group shot of some college friends that got together for a weekend; another shot of us the next day having dinner; me and 4 of my 5 college roommates on the last day of our mini reunion; Cassie at dress rehearsal; another shot of Cassie on stage; a shot of my vet's office that I got from his website; a view of my salon from a postcard they sent me for something; and my favorite road sign on the way Up North -- it's in Three Lakes, and it means I'm almost there!
