This was our first ride in the New York subway! (I love how the picture turned out, blurry background and the subjects perfectly still.) Rodney had never been to New York before, so this trip was the best one we could have asked for!
This was the morning of the snowstorm. The snow didn't start falling until about 4:00 that afternoon, but neither one of us were prepared for the weather! We didn't know we would need boots to get through all the snow and puddles! We both went through about 3 pairs of gloves because we would leave them at the hotel or in the subways or in the taxis.
We both had our gloves on while we were in the subway, and had both taken off our left glove to look at pictures we had taken the night before. After we just about missed our stop in Times Square, we realized that both of us had left our 'left glove' in the subway! It was pretty funny! We had to buy another pair when we got to Chinatown! Those people must have LOVED US! We were buying a new pair of gloves just about every day! :)
