Every time I think I'm getting rather creative I see projects like yours and know I've been left in the dust. It takes a lot of talent to have so many elements coming into play and yet not overpower the photo itself. It's also a truth that non-scrappers/cardmakers probably aren't as aware of all the thought, planning, and effort that goes into a page like this. But, at the very least, all of us commenters are appreciative! Fabulous job.
What a completely great photo shot, as well as an extra awesome layout! Love the layers, the brightness & sunshine, as well as the fun touch of threading along the bottom of the sand! You've totally mastered the combining of Creative Imaginations & Yellow Bicycle to the point that they appear to have been destined & made for each other! :)
Yes, I Agree it is an A*M*A*Z*I*N*G photograph! My first love for holiday's is the beach ... and this page is so inviting to look at! I want to be right there, right now! Great composition and colors, L*O*V*E the pearls.

Love the beaded accents - I know that it takes a lot of time to make it nice, and you did a great job! Clear beads on the waves are just something unreal!

Ok, so can I come over to your house and will you teach me how to scrapbook like this? I am in awe of this page. I wish I could favorite it a dozen times. Once seems so inadequate. This is amazing. I absolutely LOVE all the bead work. What a wonderful texture and design it adds to the page. The sand dollars are awesome. I hope you have this entered into some sort of contest. It deserves it. Wow.

Kelly this is a stunner!! So much work you put into it and it shows! There are so many beautiful sea elements here..mermaid, waves, sand dollars..(I could go on and on) that just add such a magical touch! Faves!
This is one of my fave photos from our Costa Rica winter vacation....all the kids just sitting on the beach (candid shot!) enjoying the beauty of the ocean (well, in my mind! lol!) This was such a fabulous, relaxing holiday for us and a wonderful break from the frigid temperatures back home. :) I had planned to design a different page with this photo, but when I saw this Little Yellow Bicycle collection at my lss, I knew I had to use it! I also tried a new technique with microbeads and really like the effect. Not easy to see in this photo, but if you enlarge, all the wave swirls are edged in MS clear microbeads (I just traced the swirls with Glossy Accents first). I was worried about those microbeads getting everywhere, but purchased a pkg of MS glitter trays (great deal...7 in a pkg!!) and that tray is Magic! The beads poured beautifully into the bottle after. Martha also helped me with that seashell border punch...LOVE IT! I cut the sand dollars from the pp that they're sitting on and added copper microbeads, but for the dimensional adhesive I used gold liquid pearls. That worked very well :) Then popped the sand dollars up with foam squares. Oh, and the outer edges of the sun's rays are outlined with yellow stickles, subtle but pretty IRL. I matted the photo with some glittery mesh ribbon. The orange floral swirl on left is cut from the orange pp and outlined with Pumpkin Smooch. After adding some "Oceana" chipboard (Creative Imaginations), I took a nap! ha ha! (BTW, this design was inspired by Jennifer Yates' layout in the June Scrapbook Trends mag.)Thanks for looking, everyone....I really enjoy reading your comments! :)
