This is my favorite photo from the birthday celebration at Virginia Tech.

DD and DSIL wanted tickets to a football game at VT for their birthdays (their birthdays are one week apart). So that’s what they got! We paid for the tickets but they had to find them (then there could be no complaining about the location of the seats!!!) Honestly, I never dreamed they’d really come up with any, but it only took a short amount of time before they actually found some tickets nearby for sale. Apparently Craig’s List is a pretty awesome spot to purchase tickets to sporting events! The owner of the tickets was actually from our area but lives in another town now but was coming our way so he agreed to meet me and do the deal. I have to admit I was more than a little concerned about purchasing tickets this way because you just never know if it is a scam or not. But it ended up being a really good transaction and the seller was very helpful with parking details and the such. I think they had fun at the game. They were able to meet up with some people from here at home and do the tailgating thing. It was a beautiful day with temps in the 80s, probably a little too warm for football in the afternoon. And best of all, VT won 49-27.

I used a sketch #149 from over at Sketch Inspirations for this layout. All of these papers have been in my stash for several years and most of them are from the K & Company sports line of papers as well as most of the decals. However, some of the stickers actually came from the bookstore at VT.
