The photos in the film strips for this series of layouts are photos I actually took of the plane and where they simulated the crash, plane, and fire for the Green Lantern movie and it shows the men putting out the fire used in the scene in the movie. The comics are just to make it pretty but the actual words on the comics have nothing to do with the layouts. Sheila, (Kygirl) emailed the comics to me to use and they really worked well. "Thanks Sheila!) They really were perfect!

Here's the journaling:
We were driving through New Orleans when Bill spotted a small fire in an area near the interstate. Off we went to investigate!

We followed the smoke to the aviation terminal and realized a fire was on the runway. As we pulled in front of the terminal building we noticed huge 18-wheeler semi's with “Hollywood Trucks” on the side. By now we figured out we were looking at a movie set. We were told that it was the $200 million Warner Brothers production of next summer's expected blockbuster, “The Green Lantern.”

We were the only spectators drawn to the site by the fire and smoke so they allowed us to step inside the fence to see the set and watch a few minutes of filming. There was a mock up of a plane on the ground and they were putting out the fire so they were apparently filming the aftermath of the crash scene. We were able to get pictures of some of the flames and sparks and the fires being extinguished.

A man hurriedly walked pass us and said a quick “hello” as he rushed by – we were told that he was Grant Major, Production Designer for the movie, and had also been the Production Designer for the “Lord of the Rings” movies.

We drove around to the other side of the airfield and saw the actual plane they were using in the movie being towed to the area where the crash site had just been filmed. On the side of the plane were the words “Ferris Aircraft”. I'm sure they were filming out of sequence because the new plane was intact and looked identical to the one that appeared to have crashed and was burning.

The terminal building had the words “Ferris Aircraft” over the door. Bill had been there before so he knew that was not the real name. Also the building had been given a facelift and looked different so we knew it had been changed for the movie.

When we got home I learned that Ferris Aircraft is in the Green Lantern comics so the terminal building had indeed modified and given a new name and facade to suit the purposes of the movie.
