I have a same kind of thing box - only it's not just die cuts, it's bits and pieces of everything. Not often I manage to put them together as beautifully as this though. Great project, Ren!
Thank you sooo very much for listing the items you used! PHEW! I know tht it is time consuming but it is so very helpful to those who would otherwise bug ya every day asking for the type of paper the technique used! Your description is awesome! As a scrapbook page this is fantastic! You took someone from birth to present. This LO made me smile and brought a tear. Thank you Karen! Favsn' :o)
wonderful lo. love watching her grow from an infant to a beautiful young woman right before my eyes.. and your heartfelt journaling is the perfect touch.
As you can tell my choice of color for the Pop is pink! And since I chose pink it is fitting that I make a page dedicated to my niece Heather, who loves all things pink.
I inked the solid background then stamped half of it. I cut the MAMBI shaped paper in half then inked and adhered it. The beige paper behind the solo pic was stamped, inked, crumpled, inked again, water distressed, inked again, dried then crumpled some more. It was fun!
I then water distressed a few papers from my scraps and inked a few others.
The large strip of paper that the group of photos is on is by K&Co. and it had a lot of green in it, so I had to disguise it since I didn't want to take away from the pink. So I ran the strips of ribbon and rick rack and other distressed scraps to cover up the green parts.
I have a box of extra items that I cut from with my Cricut that I didn't use on other layouts and from it I pulled out the bird, the ivy border the Fleur de lis and the swirled heart and put them to good use. They worked so well!
The large half flower/spongy die cut thingy is a foam coaster that I got from M's $1 bins that I cut in half then embellished with some rhinestones.
I used two different heart shaped brads to fill the center of the Prima flowers.
The Heather tag I wrote myself.
Journalling: "I'm so thankful that I've gotten to watch this adorable baby grow from a cute goofy kid to a beautiful young woman. The past twenty-three years has been full of laughter and surprises. I'm so glad to have been a part of it and I look forward to so much more."
