I love the way you created a vintage feel for this page. I love the way you used the photo you had and blended it with one from the diner. Wonderful work, Cindy.
Oh, Cindy, this is fabulous! It brings back memories of days gone by. Wonderful design...love it all but the photo of you drinking a soda is delightful.
Wow this is fantastic Cindy!!!!! ..... You certainly captured the past in this LO!!!! ..... My I love everything having to do with your LO!!!!!! .... Your picture down in the right hand corner is really cool :) ...... Hugs, Elaine ;)
Such a fun and creative layout Cindy! Oh, the good ole days...which leads me to wonder what you and Bob were re-creating that neither of you came out with no strong photos...lol. Love the mini-you sippin' a soda!
WOWZA Cindy, love the altered photo - it lends itself perfectly to the "old time" drug store/soda fountain lo. and love the B&W pic of you and Bob. Loved your description too - i get to see so much of the US thru you - always interesting. TFS. (Oh almost forget - love the photo/embellie of you in the corner too)
Cindy! You did an amazing job with these photos!!!!!!! I love the little one of you in the bottom corner! I absolutely LOVE this page! And that place - I would love to visit it. Wish they had something that cool around here!!! Your page is a FAV, for sure!
This is fabulous! Don't you just love it when you find one of those little deli places with the stools and the fountain drinks from the past! And isn't Charlottesville such a beautiful place to visit...haven't been in several years.
Wonderful retro page!!! What a cool soda shop ...honestly, you two come across the most amazing places and spaces in America :) FAB page, Cindy...love how you made yourself into a little soda shop girl bottom right! FAVE!
Day 2 of our Virginia Vacation, we stayed in Charlottesville. We first went to the Downtown Pedestrian Mall. It was too hot to eat on the plaza, so we were delighted when we saw that Timberlake's Drug Store "since 1890" had a soda fountain and deli. We recreated our younger days in a by-gone era.
I have tried twice to use this Graphic 45 paper in soda fountain layouts, but it just didn't match my photos. Thus my post script!
Neither Bob nor I had strong photos from inside the store, so I added a photo shop filter (Fresco) to the larger photo to provide some contrast and accents.
