For Chrys4christ's cj for her daughter - 10 things I wish I knew when I started high school
Journaling strips read (in no particular order): Spend time with your family. They'll still be there when high school friends are long gone.
Live in the moment - think about your past and future, but don't let either ruin today. Each day truly is a "present" - a gift for you to enjoy.
Stop telling yourself you aren't beautiful because you don't look just like the pop star of the moment. There is beauty in your youth, and more inmportantly, in your soul.
Reach out to friends, old and new. In 10 years, you won't still be close with all of your high school friends... and you might just be surprised who sticks by you in the long run.
Accept challenges - put time and effort into your classes and you'll learn more than you'd think possible in a mere four years.
