Give a Cheer
This is my lo I did for the October 2011 Steampunk Challenge.
I handstitched the black border on the background. The black rose is a handmade flower I was given, I just added the black dots to the leaves. The other black flowers were originally geen, but I altered them with walnut ink and then black embossing powder. I used cheese cloth at the top of the layout, but altered it with inks, glimmer mists, and anything else I could think to dab or spritz on it. LOL The spiderweb is from Wiltons (I think it was for placing a cake on, but I bought a pkg of them off clearance last year to use for scrapping), I cut it down to the size I needed, then used silver thread to stitch it to the layout. The brown pumpkins and the spiders are buttons...I added some glitter to the spiders. The black blingy pumpkin in the bottom corner was a blingy pumpkin..I adhered it to the age, used a pen to color in the inside of the pumkin and outline the bling and then used some liquid glass to the inside of the pumpkin. The "candy" was large pink glittered chipboard alphas. I used a black pen along the edges of the letters, then adhered them to the layout and used different colors of black/gray Stickles to outline the tops of them.
