This brought tears to my eyes! It echos my own sentiments about my daughter so well. Great idea to add YOUR voice on the CD that she can listen to for always. I know that is something she will cherish. Great pic. Love the pp and design of the LO, especially how the journaling strips are connected with the flowers.

After fiddling with this LO for more than a week, I finally finished it. I’m sure many LO’s have been inspired by the beautiful song “In My Daughter’s Eyes”, sung by Martina McBride. Well, here’s another one! I’ve wanted to do this for the longest time. I used tidbits of the song (changed the “daughter’s eyes” part to “your eyes” to personalize it to her) on the pink strips of pp –not to be read as the complete song, but to give the overall sense of the page. On this LO, I vocally read my journaling to my daughter on the Cd (below in the Cd pocket). After telling her what I have to say, the actual song “In My Daughter’s Eyes” plays.
My vocal journaling to her says this:
Brianna, I could stare at this picture of you for eternity and never grow tired of seeing your gorgeous baby blues and all that I see in them. In your eyes, I see the innocence and trust of a child. In your eyes, I see curiosity and wonder. In your eyes, I see potential for greatness. In your eyes, I see dreams fulfilled. In your eyes, I see hope in the midst of all the devastation and corruption in this wild world. In your eyes, I see all that’s good in life. In your eyes, I see the beauty of your soul. Although I can’t guarantee that you’ll never have seasons in your life where you’ll feel pain, disappointment, confusion, sadness or worry, I do hope that I always see an overall look of love and contentment in your eyes. Brianna, while I was pregnant with you a very special song was released and from the moment I heard it, I was touched by its lyrics, especially when I found out I was having a baby girl. I dedicate that special song, “In My Daughter’s Eyes”, to you. I love you!
TFL and Have a great day! =)
