Project Life Week 11
Journaling: Week 11: March 11-17
Wednesday was a horrible day at work but I had plans for afterwards that kept me from being totally discouraged. My friend Crystal wanted to get together for a girls afternoon so I dropped David off at work and drove by myself for the first time since the accident. I was very nervous of course but I think it made me a more cautious and alert driver. I met Crystal in Uniontown and we planned to hit a few antique places only to find out they were all closed on Wednesdays. So we stopped at Sheetz for a bite to eat instead. It was self-ordered meals! You step up to a touch screen display, put together your order, then pick it up at the counter when it’s done. I got a club croissant that was delicious –and exactly as I ordered! It was such a warm beautiful day we decided to sit outside. While we ate we chatted and caught up on what has been going on in our lives. We then spontaneously stopped at a Farmer’s Market and some other new shops that we have never been to before. Before I had to pick up David Crystal showed me her place and we chatted some more before we had to say our goodbyes. It was so good seeing her that we decided to do this every fourth Wednesday when she’s off work. Since I had already eaten David made a run to Taco Bell for the new Doritos Los Tacos. I had a bite –not bad, but not necessarily worth all the hype either. Thursday was a day of running. We loaded Sweets in the Outlander for the first time and begun our trek. First stop was Sears to get David’s new glasses. He’s got to be the sexiest nerd on the planet and he’s all mine! Next we stopped at Ollie’s and bought $15 worth of Easter candy for ourselves. Did we go overboard you think? The Outlander got its first “touchless” car wash and that tri-colored foam really shined him up! We finally made it to David’s mom’s house. Sweets was ecstatic as usual; twelve acres to run on and all the treats she can eat! We fed the goats crackers (yes, his mother spoils them to) and fed ourselves lasagna before catching up on our walking dead episodes with his sister. The day is always over faster than you want so we made our way safely home again. Friday was another hard to leave the cuddle morning and so uneventful that the cuddle couldn’t get back to me fast enough that night. St. Patrick’s Days greeted us both with a fog bank that made the woods nearly impossible to see. By the time my shift ended though the sun was brightly shining so Sweets and I got to walk around the yard and see all the beautiful early spring growth coming up including the shamrocks!
