I used my old NJ license plate to make the cover of my junk journal! I LOVE it! It already has holes, it is VERY sturdy (metal!) so it will protect my pages, and it is a good size (6"x12")! I added rainbow duct tape around the edges to protect myself b/c the edges were quite sharp! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the way it combines not only history in the generic sense, but MY history--this was the license plate that has been on all of my cars since I was 17! I would hate to throw it away, but what else would I do with it? I'm not one to hang license plates on my wall, so it would have sat in a drawer forgotten. This was a fun way to repurpose an item that would have otherwise been a dust collector!
