I am adding this one to my favorites because I love the layout!! THe blocking looks great on this. I was like Florrie though in that the beach bag on the one photo on the left bothered me. After some thought I think it is because it is so big in proportion to the other stickers on that photo. For example the ball looks like it is part of the real photo and so do the flip flops. But then the beach bag looks really large. Other than that, this is a wonderful layout and I really really love the fonts you choose for your titles.
Wow, I like this! I love the split pictures and the linear spacing! Some of your stickers totally rock -- I especially love the beach ball. I didn't realize it was a sticker at first, and I love the way it overlaps the photo above it. I'm not crazy about the beach bag sticker right next to the same photo... I think it's a little distracting from the main action in that photo. I'm curious why you chose to use only 3 brads in the sun elements, and why the right brads are spaced in so much more than the ones on the left. They are a very interesting counterpoint to all the squares in the layout. Thanks for sharing!

I really like the spacing in your layout. The beach ball sticker is a fun addition to the photo. For a second, I thought it was part of the photo! I especially like the colors of your layout. Your early layouts showed revealed your potential and natural talent. They show ease in your design. Great pages!
Great layout design! You fit so many pictures on this page and it looks wonderful! I really like the background cardstock color you used. The little sun blocks are great and I love your embellishments. Nice page!
I like how clean this looks. Everything is laid out very well. I like your choice of background colo. It feels like you've laid pictures on the sand. Well done!
I really like how you carried the 3 block theme throughout the lo, 1st with the sun blocks, and then with the pics cut up into 3 sections on the other side. It is very effective in separating the main pics and journaling section from eachother so that the primary focus is on the main pics. Good idea to use the smaller, further away shots to cut up. I also like how you put torn vellum over the sun, so it reminds me of the sun emerging from the clouds! Fun lo.
You really are able to use stickers and die cuts well!!! I actually think that is pretty hard to do. Love the blocking technique and the colors and placement of everything is really excellent. That beach ball stck above her head is PERFECT. I like the tan background with the colors. This is not needed by any means but if you were wanting to try adding a new technique: I think inking the edges would be a subtle addition and might add an even more natural touch to this page. But you have done a great job!!!!
Tar Landing - August 1999 *** The condo that we stayed in at Atlantic Beach belonged to Jean Hicks. It was three stories high with fabulous views. It had three balconies, one of which looked out on the rec center and pool. Jean invited us to stay there for a week because of Larry’s ministry to her and her husband Ernie. This is an example of the people of the church sharing luxuries with us that we could not afford on our own. Thank you, Jean and Ernie Hicks for a wonderful vacation! *** A Kindergartner at Four Years Old *** Leah would not turn five until September 7, so Jacqui was careful in deciding if she should start school in 1999 or wait until 2000. Leah had had one day of school before starting her vacation at the beach. When she returned, we knew that she would be the youngest person in her class. We had concerns about this. Would she be mature enough? Would she be able to keep up with the other children intellectually? Would they accept her? There was no need to worry. Though she has always been the youngest, she is a great student. ***
