I was trying to use them for rhinestones, journaling tags, brush markers (and sometimes other markers) etc. but I think I will start using the pigeon holes as intended... for small paper pieces. I think that looks best and will help me with how I scrap. I will keep a few of the plastic containers for crops though.
They *are* great, though, in that they are inexpensive and come in a variety of colors -- gives me an idea for using some of my kids' discarded ones. They fit very well in your slots, too! But I understand about wanting the right size for what is stored. What *do* you have in them?
This is how I store my decorative tapes and smaller ribbons at the moment. They are on a wall shelf next to my desk in the corner (in otherwise dead space). I do plan to change out the pulls when I can figure what I want to do with them exactly. I have to keep ribbons in something like this because my kitties are easily entertained by anything (AHHHH! sorry kitty just randomly slapped my foot) and everything.
