Wow - a very different type of layout for you but its wonderful - I really love it! The "wooden" paper is perfect - you couldn't have used anything better. Very cool layout!
LOL! Sounds like he should take a jug of that with him if he ever goes back to Louisiana! Love that you took photos inside the store and the way you scrapped them in a block - really gives that feel of a place like that - so much to see everywhere you look! The barrel and sack embellies are perfect :)
Great two-pager! SNAKE repellant??? Is that like bear repellant??? (More for the user than the animal?) LOL! I actually have a cast iron skillet - looove the heck outta it! Great western page! Love all the photos and the mix of embellies and esp the wood bg!
These are always fun stores to visit and great reminders of what shopping use to be like. Great two page layout with cuts that reflect the town/state these photos were taken in.
Our last stop was the Farmer's Mercantile. It was like going back in time. The general store was built in 1928. You can still buy cast iron skillets, corn shuckers, buckets, butter churns, tea pots to barb wire. DH was partucularily excited about the jug of snake repellent! TFL!
