This is my layout for April's circle journal for Group 7. This is also a layout I used for my stash challenge group . . . we had to use a mixed media title. All photos printed on Bazzill vanilla cardstock (My new favorite thing to do!); Karen Foster patterned papers; Bazzill textured cardstock; MM stars, metal alphabet letters, ribbon, clear definition, and rub-ons; MAMBI stitched label, Lil Davis cardboard letters, QuicKutz Frankie, tag, and box plate; QVC flag charm, AL Old Royal font; and May Arts ribbon. Journaling reads: “As I sit here at my computer getting caught up on today's emails, I am listening to the election returns being broadcast on the national news and I suddenly realize that this is exactly why I am glad I am an American. Sure not all of the candidates I voted for will win, nor will all of the ballot proposals I want to pass or fail turn out the way I had hoped, but at least I got a chance to voice my opinion. Like many other Americans this time of the year, I am glad to see that this political season is quickly coming to an end. Yet, I cannot tell you how thankful I am to be part of this awesome process. To be able to speak my mind and vote however I see fit is privilege I will never relinquish. No matter how things turn out in the morning. No matter who is my nation's President for the next four years, I know deep down in my heart that our nation and its people will be in good hands. Our Founding Fathers, in all of their wisdom and foresight, designed a government that can withstand economic highs and lows, wars both at home and abroad, challenges they could never have dreamed of, and even direct attacks on our nation. Through all of this, our nation and its Constitution will still prevail.” Thanks for looking!
