Thank goodness I have such sweet neighbors that understand my obsession to scrap everything. My camera batteries died about a half an hour before Mackenzie decided to hold her bottle all by herself for the first time. My very dear friend that lives next door snapped this pic for me. Paper is Bazzill, Some floral patterned paper, and the corner pieces are handmade paper that my dear friend, MC, sent me (thank you so much!!!) Pressed flower on vellum tag, ribbon from JoAnn on clearance, PSX and Hero Arts stamps, and fonts are 2peas Wedding Day and Abbess. Journaling reads: “Mackenzie shocked and surprised Tom and I when she decided to hold her bottle all by herself for the first time at our annual neighborhood picnic. She had never even tried to hold it on her own before, so we were amazed when she grabbed the bottle and decided to feed herself. She had been up way past her bedtime because she was so busy watching all of her neighbors and the batteries in the camera had run out just a little while before. Good thing Heather & Joe had their camera handy and snapped this shot of one of Mackenzie's first signs of independence. When she did it, I started screaming with excitement and she was just so proud of herself that she couldn't stop smiling. The funny thing is that she hasn't really done it again since then, and that was a couple of months ago. Something tells me she wanted to show her neighbors what a big girl she was.” The cards were made with scraps from the layout (a tip I read in one of the mags). I was an hour late to my third bday party this summer this past weekend because I was trying to finish a card. I need to start stocking up! Thanks!! Heather
