I lived in Bolivia three times as kid, for a total of about 2 years. Unfortunately, my parents took no photos. I've been wanting to scrap memories from this part of my life for some time, but just never started because of the lack of photos. I decided to use pictures from the Internet to fill in this gap in my life. Journaling reads:

A nasty surprise arrived on a plate when Mom ordered what she thought was rabbit. Apparently, conejo translates not only to rabbit in Bolivia, but also to guinea pig. Her meal came not only with curled up paws and a face, but also teeth and whiskers. Other dining pleasures I witnessed in Bolivia were sheep's head soup, with eyeballs floating in the broth (they supposedly taste like Saltine crackers), and panza (boiled stomach) and chuños (black freeze-dried potatoes that resemble dirty elbows), which I had the unfortunate experience of actually tasting. My stepfamily made panza and chuños a couple of times a month, and we could always smell the stench of it when we got off the bus almost a mile away.

Materials: MME Bohemia, Lasting Impressions, and Paper Fever patterned papers.
