These pictures are blurry and orange. And I realized that I'd been shying away from them for that reason. Which was silly, because they tell an important story that I needed to tell in our books. Sure, I could have edited them a little more, but I didn't, I had them printed and have been letting them sit in the pile of photos.

The journaling was written on the back. I like doing that on these scalloped pages especially. I usually don't put a page behind the scalloped ones in my books because it shows around the edges. So I might as well use the back!

Journaling:
When Chad accepted his new job at NMSU he moved to New Mexico a couple months before us. A few weeks into it he had a recruiting deal in the Ft. Worth area. So we met him there for the weekend. We did all our usual Ft. Worth stuff. These pictures were taken in the Stockyards. The boys were so excited to see their daddy. It was really hard when we had to leave and be apart for another month. But we made it home. Together.Summer 2006

To make the layout I first adhered the photos in the middle. Then cut strips from Love, Elsie fabric paper and added them around the photos. Next I cut circles from patterned paper and lightly adhered them in the scollops. Then the title. To finish it off I stitched around the edge on the circles. Then I crinkled up the circles for fun. I even punched a hole in a few for some reason.:)
