This art piece may have won, but here goes … This piece made me think of the sun as well as the resulting light and shadow on an object (the top circle). I had this photo of my daughter with the sun shining on her face and wanted to use it for this layout. I printed the photo on Bazzill cardstock and borrowed the circles and some of the colors from the art piece. The quote is from Helen Keller and the Journaling is as follows: Andrea, as you go through life, you will have no control over some of the challenges that will confront you. However, you will always have the ability to choose your response to these challenges. You can choose to live in the shadows or in the sunshine – in other words, you can choose to see the challenges as burdens or blessings. If you choose to see the challenges as burdens, life will quickly wear you down. If you choose to see the challenges as blessings, life will be a never-ending gift you will eagerly open each day. My wish for you is that you will choose to continue keeping your face to the sunshine and never see the shadows. If, by chance, you catch a glimpse of the shadow, I hope you quickly turn your face back to the sunshine with a renewed sense of awe for its beauty.
