This is a layout that I did to honor My DH Mugi's culture and homeland,Papua New Guinea. the yellow and green papers are CI(Renae Lindgren),jungle leaf paper(Paper Pizzaz),Palm trees (Jolees By You)and Passion flower rubberstamp(Stampendous!).I stamped the flowers onto Yellow and red MM paper and cut them out and embellished the ceters with seed beads and little pieces of raffia from behind. On the second page I also used faux leather paper by Rocky Mt. ScrapBook Co. I cut the papers on the second page into strips,weaving the pieces together with raffia. The strips were secured to the edges with staples.{JOURNALING}…This is the village which Mugi grew up in while he was living in Papua New Guinea. Papua New Guinea is an island which is located Northeast of the Continent of Austrailia. In 1994 he took a trip back here to his homeland. These pictures are truly beautiful and provide wonderful and amazing insight to the culture of this Samaran Village.One's culture is defined by it's own set of rules or norms. Therefore,by looking at these pictures,different aspects of this culture can be defined. These photos document the people WORKING together, GATHERING together and also SHARING together.TFL!
