Scraplifted Shimelle's layout. Loved the color combo and general design. I think the colors and the title “Mother's Day” helped to emphasize my MIL in the photo - she's tiny! Met my adopted brother-in-law for the first time (he's Asian like me). Wanted to journal about meeting him but didn't want to have it displayed on the page. Made an envelope from black cardstock. Repeated the flower/flourish motif from my in-laws clothes several times (grey roses pp, yellow & grey floral pp, black flourish photo corner and flower embellishment). Tried to incorporate circular items - ssed a circle punch, colored brads and a black vinyl circle sticker for the center of the flower. Stamped the grey alpha stickers with a texture stamp. TFL!!**updated: added the wee bit of black c/s under “day” as it felt incomplete. Yay or nay?
