I used a bunch of stuff from different kits from Work in Progress. The Pink Paislee paper came from the anniversary kit. The green paper came from the May kit, the fabric came from the November kit, the Scenic Route paper came from May's kit, the { diecuts came from the May kit. The cardstocks came from different kits…and the rest is my stuff, the puffy paint, the button punch from EK Success (I used a Hero Arts stamp and the Scenic Route PP for the buttons that I made), the floss in the paper buttons, the flourish stamp is from doodlebug and the bling is from Making Memories. Pretty sure that's it…I take WAY too long to do mini albums…it took me forever to come up with a different approach to this mini album. I didn't want to do the typical mother one. Here is the journaling from each page. Page 1: Here is a little book made just for you, Caitlynn, with quips, quotes, and notes from me, your mom. These are not words to live by, in a sense, but they are words to definitely think about, and take to heart. I love you, and those are words that you can live by, my girl. J Page 2: No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.“ Ana Eleanor Roosevelt Page 3: Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind. Page 4: Never grow a wishbone, daughter, where a backbone ought to be. Page 5: ”You grow up the day you have your first real laugh at yourself." Ethel Barrymoore Page 6: You have to be brave or pretend to be brave. The person with the most confidence wins. Page 7: Daughter Woman-child Angel of the heart You are the strength of the future and the beauty of past memories. You are love and light and hope. You are life's sweetest gift, an unbelievable and precious miracle. Page 8: You can see it in their eyes in tender hugs and long good-byes, a love that only moms and daughters know. You can see it in their smiles through passing years and changing styles. A friendship that continually seems to grow. You can see it in their lives, the joy each one of them derives in just knowing that the other one is there… To care and to understand, lend an ear or hold a hand and to celebrate the memories they share. Page 9: A Daughter needs a dad… To tell her all she needs to know about boys. To show her that all boys are not like the one who hurt her. To teach her how to recognize a gentleman. To stand with her on the day she marries the man she hopes will be just like her father Page 10: To the outside world we all grow old. But not to brothers and sisters. We know each other as we always were. We know each other's hearts. We share private family jokes. We remember family feuds and secrets, family griefs and joys. We live outside the touch of time.
