When we built our home about 2 1/2 years ago I was lucky enough to be able to get my own scraproom. When looking at designs, we came across a craftroom that the builder had set up. I took what I liked from the picture and created my own scraphaven!
1. My scrap desk
2. I recently moved my 9 ft. table next to my built-ins to for a U-shape work area.
3. These are the cabinets to the left of my work area.
4. This is the drawer to the left of my work area. It's filled with rub-on letters that I use a lot.
5. These are the cabinets above and to the right of my work area: Zig markers in their original cases (GREAT storage!!), eyelets and brads in watchmakers tins, acrylic embellies in crafts organizers, alphabet embellies sorted by letter. Cardstock is sorted by type since I use my swatches quite a bit when trying to find the right color. Since the swatch is sorted that way, it makes sense to sort my own that way.
6. One of the drawers to the right of my scrap area. This one has punches that I use a lot (circles, squares and corner rounders) and my adhesives.
7. The other drawer to the right of my scrap area. My stamps and inks. There are four baskets inside holding most of them.
8. I got these drawer sets at JoAnn’s for $1.50. I covered them with KI Memories paper and Modge Podged them. Used Doodlebug ribbon to cover the paper seams and then put label on them.
9. These are the cabinets above my computer.
10. The big drawer set I put together and painted. The smaller one, I just painted. They hold lots of embellies!!
11. 12 X 12 acrylic trays holding cardstock and layouts in progress. Beige drawer sets from JoAnn's hold embellies. Target cubes hold paper and 12 X 12 albums.
12. Lots more embellies!
13. My cardstock scraps sorted by color.
14. Foam Stamp storage in document boxes from Target and Big Lots.
15. My Sketch box. Everything is sorted by size of layout, # of photos and orentation of photos.
Examples:
1 photo horizontal 12 X 12
1 photo horizontal 8.5 X 11
1 photo horizontal 11 X 8.5
1 photo horizontal 8 X 8
and so forth. I get sketches from the internet and print them directly on the notecards, create sketches I see in mags or on-line, or actually print the layout out if I think that the sketch will not do the layout justice.
16. Acrylic Paint
17. This is one of two bookshelves in my room (the other one actually has books on it, LOL!). I've got 5 of the Cropper Hopper organizers for my letter stickers and rub-ons, 2 organizers for Heidi Swapp rub-ons and chipboard letters and another for my homemade cards.
18. Cardstock on 4 paper racks.
19. Layout display, with a layout for each of my nieces.
20. My window seat that still doesn't have a cushion, since I can't sew :(
