One of my favorite themes to document are vacations. Probably because they are also some of my favorite family moments and I can almost always find a great picture to go with my story. These photos are some of my favs from a trip to Marco Island that we took. They're mostly colorless and have an ethereal look about them. I just remember the moment as being very calm + relaxed and the photos depict that perfectly.I started building layers with a color palette of cool gray, yellow and aqua. There are four main patterned papers used here in a range of tiny pattern (the aqua diamonds) to a large pattern (yellow rainbows). Mixing up the scales adds punches of color to the layout without being distracting. I then added layers of die cuts from Elle's Studio and a few titles in the main colors. The photos are front and center and are framed out with stitching and a bold yellow title.Combining favorite vacation memories, details, layers and playing with color - it's what I love!
