This is the first time I've tried this technique, and it is so easy. See the Challenge Discussion Thread for details:

VersaFine Onxy Black ink–This dried overnight because it was really late when I stamped it. I was able to sponge and brayer over it without a problem this morning. Although it is a fast-drying pigment ink, it smeared a bit when I just tried to brayer over a freshly-stamped image. It might be better to stamp with a dye ink.

Moon was masked with a 1 1/4“ circle punched from a Post-it Note before sponging and/or brayering with Adirondack Dye Inks (Cloudy Blue, Sailboat Blue, Denim).

1st card – 4 3/8” x 5 13/16“
2nd card – 4 1/8” x 5 7/16"

For the first card, I did not reink the stamp before stamping on acetate to stamp the reflected image. On the second card, I did reink the stamp, but then I stamped it off once before stamping on the acetate.

I actually made the second card first. I used the brayer on that one, and I definitely need to practice my Zindorf brayering technique. I tried to save it with some sponging. I'm only showing it here so you can see what the reflection looks like when you reink the stamp and stamp off once before stamping on the acetate.

After the mess I made with the brayering, I used a sponge to apply the inks to the first card I posted. I really like the color of the Cloudy Blue ink I used in the sky.

I hope you give this a try. It really is easy; it took longer to post it than it did to make it. TFL. Daria
