Nichol's Background Stamping Class and Jennifer's Week 2 video for Fall ‘09 Stamp Camp kept me up last night and got me up early this morning. I ended up with six cards, five using Jennifer’s Multi-color Emboss and Ink Background. I love the Joseph's Coat look she got without using a brayer, glossy cardstock or black ink. So cool!Does anyone recognize this image? I stamped it on SU kraft cs with Vintage Photo Distress Ink on the first card and Pine Needles on the second card.1st card – follows Jennifer's directions. I applied Distress Inks (scattered straw, broken china, peeled paint) to SU Vanilla Ultra-Smooth cs. I dried it with a heat tool, and I rubbed it with an anti-static bag. I stamped the HA bg image (love those lines) with VersaMark and heat embossed it with detail clear EP. Next I applied a darker Distress Ink (faded jeans) all over the entire surface, and wiped off the excess with a damp rag. I then distressed and edged the piece with Vintage Photo and wiped off the excess ink again.2nd Card – I just wanted to use up this image that I had stamped to see if it would look good on the background I made for the first card. It didn't, but I loved the way it looked on a piece of Bazzill scrap I found. The Pine Needles Distress Ink goes well with Bazzil Holly cs. The fiber is Natural Linen Thread from SU.Thank you, Nichol and Jennifer, for the background classes. I had a lot of fun using my beloved bg images with just this one technique. I still want to try the others.TFL. Daria
