I used Stampa Rosa's Filigree Platinum Fine EP and gray cardstock to make my faux metal. This EP combines what looks like a gun metal color and gold. It gives an antique look. The scan doesn't show its sheen. The piece on the card was stamped with Paula Best's Asian Influence Cube. The others were stamped with Judikins Woodcut Foliage, Penny Black's Classic Border, and a couple of unknown quilt images.

The card measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2". The cardtock is Bazzill; the patterned paper is Basic Grey (the first time I've cut into a piece).

The sentiment is Purple Onion Design. I stamped it with VersaMark and heat embossed with the same platinum EP I used on the faux metal. I'd planned on having a straight line with the sentiment but failed to realize that I wouldn't be able to see the VersaMark image. Next time I'll plan ahead a bit better and position the stamp on the block so I can make a straight line.

I like the way some of the raised parts are shiny, but I don't know why some are and some aren't. It would be nice to know so I could control that. Also, I noticed the raised edges have a tendency to break off.

Kristina, thank you for the fun class. I've been planning to try this out for a long time; now I can check it off my lengthy learn-to-do list. TFL. Daria
