I now have the utmost respect for the wonderful postage people I've seen in various blogs and here in the gallery. It is not easy to find a stamp and image that go together--the right size, the head posed just so, etc.
Judy Garland: Background Stamp Zia water color wash; shrink plastic musical notes
Hattie McDaniel: Background is from a picture I tore out of an old book; Never Dull used to wipe out quite a bit of the color; Tombow Marker to color dress to match the stamp; part of the small Just Johanna scroll stamped with VersaFine Black Onyx and heated embossed with clear, fine detail EP.
Greta Garbo: Background is either Adirondack or Distress watercolor on watercolor paper (I think); again, I used part of Just Johanna's small scroll stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with Ranger's Seafoam White EP.
I'm so glad I only had to do three of these! I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for possible bodies for future postage people.
