Scraplift (more or less) of Jen Lessinger's layout. Title inspired by a pea's (sorry–don't remember which ) “Sometimes it isn't about the bling-bling” layout. Journaling reads: “When I think about the proposal, the picture that pops into my head is of the ring. Nic holding out my ring. There was something in the way he held it—between his index finger and his thumb. I didn’t take it from him at first. I didn’t know what to do. I just glanced at it. I had this thought that it would be rude to focus on the ring. Like the exciting part of being engaged was the ring. I wanted him to know that I was excited about spending the rest of my life with him. So it wasn’t until later that I was really able to look at it. I remember thinking “this is how my grown-up hand looks.” How many times had I tried on my mom’s ring, wondering what mine would look like? I love that he picked it out. I love that he wanted it to be a surprise. I love that he bought it at the Base Exchange at Keesler Air Force Base, like maybe Robert Petrie would have done for Laura. I love that when I asked him why he picked this one out, a Tiffany-cut solitaire with a gold band, he said, “because you’re traditional.” He says it was made by God for him to give to me. I couldn’t agree more.” PP by KI. Thanks for looking. Oh–I've included three versions. I think I like the first best, but I was trying to work in that letter tile that Jen has in the upper left corner. I'm not sure it fits here–thoughts?
