More pictures from my grandmother–all scanned, corrected, and reprinted. Bazzill cardstock (the brown looks kind of black in these scans)…I wanted to use farm colors. Journaling reads: "Uncles. Evert and Ezra Seymour were 16 years old when June was born. They were twins, born on the prairies of Wisconsin. They traveled in a covered wagon as children. The photograph below shows Evert and Ezra in front of their grandmother's home, which still stands in Snohomish. They were doting uncles to June. They would take her out onto the farm while they did their chores, packing snacks for themselves and a bottle for June. After school, on the weekends, during the summer, they took her everywhere. Henrietta later said she must have been crazy to let them take her. Evert and Ezra would place her in a box while they did their chores, or put her in a horse-drawn wagon. The sight of Evert holding the baby June in front of the barn, as in the photograph below, would not be at all unusual. Once Roberta was born (shown in the picture with June and Ezra) their assistance as willing babysitters must have been invaluable. This foundation of love lasted over 70 years. I remember Nana visitng them frequently. After hearing these stories, I understand why. Evert and Ezra were more than uncles. Friends." Thanks for looking!
