I recently finished this “countdown” advent calendar for Christmas. I used a wooden cigar box as my base. Painted it white. Lined the box with Blitzen papers. Stamped message on inside of box. Papered outside of box. Stamped lid with foam stamp and paint. Added ribbon to the outside. Made daily flip tags using cardstock and Blitzen papers. Alpha and chipboard numbers from Buzz and Bloom. This is just a fun way to countdown the days remaining until christmas. When the season is done, take off the rings/flip tags and store inside the box.
