Hi everyone…I am finally back in the creative mode. After a couple of hectic months…and somewhat of a creative slump…I decided to finally make my 2005 calendar. I didn't want to use an ugly black vinyl book again this year. #1This is a 7“ x 9” spiral bound calendar (from office depot). I first put book binding tape over the spine. wanted it covered, but flexible. The tape was perfect for that. Then I took Basic Grey papers. Stamped “my year 2005” on the frot using POD's Broken 15 alpha. Inked/aged all the papers with distress and chalk inks. Sanded the paper down. Added a piece of 7Gypsies twill with “secrets” printed on it to the front paper with MM brads. Also added an epoxy medallion. I didn't want to add too much to the front, as I need it to lay flat when writing in it. Stapled a twill tab (I got in a swap) to the edge of cover. Attached the paper to front. Used similar Basic Gray paper on the back. I also attached an olive green twill bookmark. #2 shows inside the cover. I used a scrap of paper and added it to the front as a slide in pocket. Attached using antique mini brads.
