This little project was done after the UK Stampers 1st Birthday event, using the instructions provided in a class by Kym Bolton. You are actually supposed to also decorate the inside as well, but I hadn't realised and so had only gessoed and prepared the outside. Maybe I will do the inside at a later stage. The project also included stamping on tissue paper, a method I have not tried before but it did seem to work very well. I think you have to be quite careful about the type of tissue paper that you use, i.e. opt for tissue with a slightly ‘waxy’ feel to it, rather than a soft tissue. I should imagine that it's fairly easy to tear the soft tissue if you get it wet with watercolours. The stamps were from Paper Artsy and the acrylic paints were Ranger so they have a nice pearlised sheen to them. I also used Marvy inks (for the petals writing), watercolour pencils and Staz-On in Blazing Red. I also made up my own flowers using different sizes and shades of Prima flowers and tiny gold brads.
