Those beautiful flowers around his photo are amazing. I love that you picked, scanned and made them into a frame. This whole layout just says Fall. Beautiful page.
They look great ,I love them but all I do is chase them when I use them.Forgot to say that your title is delightful ,using the letters as leaves is so creative.
I am always amazed at your unique creativity Elizabeth~ This is amazing! I love the work and detail you put into each project you do; beautiful~ (and your leaves were gorgeous:)
Wow, I'm astounded at all of the incredible work that went into this. Amazing job! Your embellishments, colors, and design are fantastic, and you used such great embellishments. Fabulous autumn page!
beautiful design, pprs, tweed, stunning colors, and adorable photo! Love the metal leaves with the letters! Adorable photo. It was interesting reading about how you made this. I can understand what you're talking about, solving the problems.
OMW, this is so beautiful & Oliver (love the old fashion name) is such a cutie. I keep going over the lo & picking out things....100% BOY, Sweet, the birds, just all of it is so wonderfully created my friend! I can tell you spent many hours on this & oh what a treasure!:) Oh yah those leaves are a labor of love!:)
WOW! Elizabeth, this is an adorable, well designed LO! The colors are fabulous and I really love that you used a piece of your son's old jacket! I love that you scanned and cut out the leaves from your tree and I especially LOVE the way the title was made! I love this! (sure a lot of love in my comments - LOL)
Introducing Brooke's little brother, Oliver! (Brooke was the subject of my first layout of the year.) Isn't he cute as can be? He belongs to my boys' middle and high school band teacher and his wife. I just love this picture of him standing amongst the leaves.
And speaking of leaves...the leaves I framed around the picture were from our beautiful Sweet Gum tree. I gathered a bunch of them a few autumns ago and scanned them. A lot of them were bigger than my hand spread out! So I cropped each one individually on my print shop program and reduced them in size for the frame. It took me quite awhile to do that! To save time I copied and pasted after I cropped one to use several times.
What seemed to take so long was choosing my papers for this project and placing them. I originally distressed the edges on all the papers but didn't like the looks of it on the oblong brown paper so I trimmed it down and punched the edges (which was actually my original idea)! The black and off-white tweed piece under the picture is actually from an old dress jacket of my son, Sam's! We got it from Goodwill when he was in middle school and he finally grew into it and wore it out! So I kept some of the fabric and the buttons to use on projects. I thought it matched Oliver's sweater pretty good! :-)
On the wood leaves, I added Tim Holtz Distress Stickles in Antique Bronze, then applied gold microbeads from Reneabouquets (love that stuff) and then added Ranger's Glossy Accents to secure them.
The butterflies are actual photographs that I printed out from my Print Shop program and fussy cut. The swirly piece at the top and the fan-looking thing were cut on my Cricut a long time ago and I felt they were a good color for this.
I decided to add Oliver's name to some metal leaves I had and wanted to use on this layout. I really like how that looks!
This was the first time I've used homemade mist and you can't see much of it...on the brown paper at the top.
